Icon: Cecil Beaton

i just saw the exhibit Cecil Beaton: The New York Years at the Museum of the City of New York and was just blown away and inspired by the work of this legendary artist, illustrator, designer, and, simply put, creative talent.  i was familiar with the name Cecil Beaton - as photographer for Vogue in its golden age of the 1930s and 1940s, and as the designer of the amazing costumes for My Fair Lady.  but, to be honest, I didn't know much else.  yet to see the body of work Mr. Beaton created over his career - as well as the most beautiful and intimate portraits of legendary cultural icons - i just fell in love with his work and now cannot get enough.  i highly recommend anyone to catch this exhibit if they can.  her are some of photos i managed to take from the exhibit ...
